MARS Orbiter Mission Details, Launch by ISRO

MARS Orbiter Mission

Indian Space Research Organization ( ISRO ) is ready with MOM - Mars Orbiter Mission , the first ever satellite to the Red Planet - MARS .

MARS is already been on the research list for NASA which last year launched MARS Roever , a car sized robot which conducts various experiements about temperature , possibility of life in MARS .

Why not India ? if anyother countries can do , Indians too , and this is going to happen through the Mars mission by ISRO .

MOM carries following payloads,

- Lyman Alpha Photometer ( LAP )
- Mars Color Camera ( MCC )
- Methane Sensor for MARS ( MSM )
- Mars Exospheric Neutral Composition Analyser ( MENCA )
- Thermal Infrared Imaging Spectrometer ( TIS )


ISRO has already scheduled the launch date to October 2nd week, but due to various other issues, the launch date has been postponed .

ISRO's Mars Mission is now scheduled to Launch between October 25th, November 19th, 2013 .

ISRO's MARS Orbiter Mission is carried by PSLV - C25
