Now, the biggest problem is not to debate about it but to find a solution for the question " How to reduce global warming ? " or simply How to keep our planet green .
Global Warming :
You might know Global warming is the major cause for increase in earth’s temperature in the atmosphere, which results in melting of glaciers causing rise in sea level.
The sun’s energy heats up the earth and causes changes in the weather and climate to occur.These changes which is the effects of the warming can both harmful to the environment and the life of humans to survive.
How to Avoid this ?
The more we put ourself with responsibility for our planet earth, we too can be a part of reducing the global warming extensively.
People living in developing nations / poor country may have wish to do their part but their financial and economical conditions may prevent to do so.
1.Use CFL lamp:
Its better to get started by replacing a regular incandescent light bulb with a compact fluorescent light bulb (cfl) because CFLs use 60% less energy than a regular bulb. This simple switch will save about 300 pounds of carbon dioxide a year.
*You don't really need to have ALL the lights on ALL night .
2.Don't Fly - flying is the one usually unnecessary thing we do that can have the biggest immediate effect on greenhouse gas emissions (CO2). Long-haul flights are the worst as they have to carry extra fuel that in the early part of the journey that is needed to burn to carry the extra fuel that is needed in the later parts of the journey .
Flyin over Long Distance flights can produce about the same amount of CO2 caused by
* 15,000 miles (18 months worth) of motoring in an average size standard car
* 1 return long-haul flight e.g. India to Australia, South America or the Far East
* 3 return medium-haul flights e.g. Europe to East Coast America, Africa or India
* 6 return short-haul flights e.g. UK to Europe
3.Pick Up a More Economical Car.
We can probably reduce CO2 emissions by at least a one third by picking up a more fuel efficient vehicle.
Going in Hybrid Car: Toyota Prius is the first commercially available hybrid and least polluting production car currently available
Now, we've TESLA - all electric car which saves energy .
4.Protect and conserve forest worldwide
Forests play a critical role in global warming: they store carbon. When forests are burned or cut down, their stored carbon is released into the atmosphere - deforestation now accounts for about 20% of carbon dioxide emissions each year. Conservation International has more information on saving forests from global warming.
5.Eat less meat
I know its little tough task ,but try adopting it because Methane is the second most significant greenhouse gas and cows are one of the greatest methane emitters. They consumes grasses and multiple stomachs cause them to produce methane, which they exhale with every breath.
6.Cover your pots while cooking
Doing so can save a lot of the energy needed for preparing the dish. Even better are pressure cookers and steamers: they can save around 70%!
7.Take a shower instead of a bath
A shower takes up to four times less energy than a bath. To maximize the energy saving, avoid power showers and use low-flow showerheads, which are cheap and provide the same comfort.
8.Avoid Bottled Water
our tap water is more than clean enough to drink, but somehow we started to fall to go out and buy drinking water in bottles instead of just getting it from the tap.
You must know, Getting it from the tap and you will prevent the huge amount of fossil fuels consumed in transporting bottles of water to and from the supermarket, millions of tonnes of water unnecessarily transported over millions of road-miles. You will also help to avoid all those billions of plastic bottles needed.
Use tap water and yep u can use water filter to keep cleaner.
Around 3% of the greenhouse gas emissions through the methane is released by decomposing bio-degradable waste. We can help eliminate this problem by recycling organic wastes or if you have a garden compost in in it in a proper way.
It's becoming easier and easier to do this as recycling facilities become more widespread reducing the need to throw things away to landfill.
* Aluminium cans
*Unwanted reasonable quality clothing and other goods to charity (it might be a must need for them) etc.
Or you can sell your stuff at Ebay or give away to free cycle
Sharing it with your friends can be a good start !
